How long do people keep going to meetings?
An hour in most rooms. Speaker meetings sometimes run longer. Nobody keeps a record of how often you came. Nobody will ask you to commit to anything.
Do I have to speak at an AA meeting?
No. You can sit at the back and say nothing at all. There is no expectation that a newcomer contributes anything. A bigger meeting is easier to be anonymous in than a small one.
