First names only is the custom, and nobody will press you for more. Nobody asks what you do for a living, where you work, or who you are related to. People volunteer what they want to volunteer. The worry about being seen fades faster than most people expect.
Can I attend one without leaving the house?
There are, and for a lot of people they are how this starts. An online meeting at six in the morning is a real option in a way an in person one at six in the morning usually is not. Starting online and moving to a room later is a well worn path.
How do people manage when nothing is close by?
