Questions about NA in Corvallis

How many NA meetings can I get to from Corvallis?

15 meetings in Corvallis itself, spread across 7 days of the week.

Which meetings have wheelchair access?

10 of them are marked wheelchair accessible.

Are there open meetings in Corvallis?

The list above includes 13 open meetings.

Do meetings run on Saturday and Sunday?

Saturday and Sunday between them have 5 of the 15.

Are there meetings outside working hours?

Between 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM, depending on the day you pick.

Do I have to give my name at a meeting?

First names are the custom, and even that is not required of a visitor. The practice is that members do not repeat who they saw or what was said outside the meeting. If this is the part that worries you, a large meeting is easier to be unremarkable in than a small one.

What is the difference between NA and AA?

They are separate fellowships running the same twelve steps for different stated problems. Neither fellowship charges, keeps records, or takes money from outside itself. Nobody at either will ask why you chose it.

How do I choose between all these meetings?

It matters less than people expect. Groups differ, but any of them is a meeting. Most members end up with one meeting they treat as their regular and others they drop into. If none of the times work, an online meeting runs at hours an in person one does not.
