Questions about NA in Alliance

Are there NA meetings in Alliance, OH?

22 meetings, listed above earliest first for each day.

Are there meetings outside working hours?

There is something as early as 6:00 PM and something as late as 8:00 PM.

Which meetings have wheelchair access?

There are 4 accessible venues within reach.

Where near Alliance are the meetings held?

The towns in range are led by Akron with 8, Salem with 3 and North Jackson with 2.

Are there open meetings in Alliance?

21 open meetings, which family and friends may also attend.

Is what I say at a meeting kept private?

First names are the custom, and even that is not required of a visitor. No group reports attendance to anyone unless you have asked them to sign something for you. If you need attendance documented for a court or a program, that is a separate thing you have to ask for.

Does medication assisted treatment stop me attending?

Yes. The requirement for membership is a desire to stop using, and a prescribed medication does not change that. The subject comes up more in some meetings than others, and it is not usually the hour's topic. Asking the chair quietly before the hour starts is the direct way to find out where a group stands.

What do members mean by working the steps?

The steps are the written program of recovery the fellowship is built around. Attending a meeting does not require working any of them, and nobody will ask which step you are on. A step meeting is worth going to once you want to know more about that part.
