Questions about NA in San Jose

How many meetings are near San Jose?

46 in total in San Jose itself. Every row above gives the time, the venue and the distance.

Are there weekend meetings near San Jose?

Saturday and Sunday between them have 11 of the 46.

Are there online NA meetings near San Jose?

Online, 4 are available near San Jose.

Are there Spanish language meetings near San Jose?

13 meetings are marked as Spanish language or bi-lingual.

Which meetings have wheelchair access?

16 meetings are listed as wheelchair accessible.

Is what I say at a meeting kept private?

No. Members use first names only, and you can use any name you like. The same custom is why members do not use full names in public about their own membership. If you need attendance documented for a court or a program, that is a separate thing you have to ask for.

Do I have to pay to go to a meeting?

Meetings cost nothing to attend, and that is a tradition rather than an offer. Literature on the table is often free to take, and a group will usually hand a newcomer something. It is the same at every group, in every town above.

What happens at a first meeting?

A meeting opens with a reading, runs for about an hour, and closes with everyone standing up again. There is no leader in the sense of someone in charge of you, only a member chairing the hour. If one group does not suit you, another in the same week will feel different.
