Is anyone allowed to go to an AA meeting?
There is no test and no entry condition beyond wanting to stop. People turn up having not had a drink in years and people turn up having had one that morning. You can go once and never come back, and nobody will mind.
What is a step meeting?
Twelve of them, and most people take months or years over the set. The middle ones are the reason people stall, and stalling is treated as ordinary. The table above labels which meetings here are step meetings.
