How do people choose between AA and NA?
Different fellowships, same twelve steps, different books. A.A. keeps to alcohol in what members share, and N.A. treats all drugs including alcohol as the same problem. That applies across New York the same way.
Can I go to AA if I am an atheist?
Not a church, not a denomination and not a mission. A lot of long standing members will tell you they got past the wording by ignoring it for a year. That variation holds across New York as much as in Sanborn.
