Format
Showing 76 of 76 meetings in Wildwood Crest.
Nothing matches all of those at once. Try taking one off.
What these mean
- Open
- Anyone may attend, including family, friends and people who are simply curious. Nobody has to say why they came.
- Closed
- For people who have a desire to stop drinking. If you are not sure that is you, an open meeting is the safe first choice.
- Online
- Held online rather than in a room. The row shows the Zoom details where the group publishes them.
- Newcomer
- Aimed at people at their first few meetings. Someone will usually explain how it works before it starts.
- Women
- Only women attend.
- Wheelchair Access
- The room can be reached and used in a wheelchair.
- Discussion
- A topic is raised and whoever wants to speak does. You can sit through the whole hour without saying anything.
- Speaker
- One member tells their own story for most of the hour. Nothing is asked of anyone else, which makes it the easiest kind to sit through on a first visit.
- Big Book
- Reading and discussion from Alcoholics Anonymous, the book members call the Big Book.
- Step Study
- The group works through the Twelve Steps in order.
- Tradition Study
- The group works through the Twelve Traditions.
- Literature
- Reading and discussion from AA literature.

Questions about AA in Wildwood Crest
How many AA meetings are within driving distance of Wildwood Crest?
76 inside 5 miles, across 6 cities. Every row says which town it is in and how far.
Which day is busiest for AA in Wildwood Crest?
Every day. Saturday is the busiest with 17 meetings, and no day is empty.
What is the difference between an open and a closed meeting in Wildwood Crest?
46 of the 76 listed here are marked open, which means anyone can attend, including family. 30 are marked closed, for people who want to stop drinking.
Which AA groups meet in Wildwood Crest?
3 groups listed in Wildwood Crest. A group is the set of people who run a meeting, and most run more than one a week.
Do I have to give my name at an AA meeting?
No. You can sit through a whole meeting without saying who you are. It is a tradition rather than a law, so it rests on the people present rather than on a policy. You can leave at any point without explaining why.
What happens at a birthday meeting?
A custom rather than a rule: small tokens marking stretches without a drink. The first one is usually for a single day, which is deliberate: the point is that a day counts. The labels above say what each room does.
Does it cost anything to go to an AA meeting?
No. Cost is the one barrier that does not exist here. The tradition of being self supporting is why no group here takes a donation from outside the fellowship. If money is the reason you have been putting this off, it is not a reason.
