Will anybody know I was there?
Anonymity is the principle the whole thing rests on, and it is taken seriously in the room. There is no attendance record, so there is nothing that could be handed to anybody later. If you need proof of attendance for a court or an employer, ask the secretary before the meeting rather than during it.
Can I do this without going into a room?
Online and telephone meetings both exist, and neither asks you to be anywhere in particular. People who live somewhere with one meeting a week often use online ones to fill the other six nights. Either kind counts, and there is no hierarchy between them.
Are the times on these pages reliable?
They are the times the groups publish themselves, and groups do change night, time or venue without much notice. A group that moves room, or folds, or starts a new night does not always update the list it is on, so a page can sit a few weeks behind the room. The busier the town, the likelier the listing is right, simply because more people would have noticed.
