- Women
- Only women attend.

Questions about AA in Waterford
How many AA meetings are near Waterford?
33 inside 5 miles, across 5 cities. Every row says which town it is in and how far.
Is there an AA meeting every day in Waterford?
Sunday has nothing listed, and the other 6 days do.
What is the difference between an open and a closed meeting in Waterford?
25 of the 33 listed here are marked open, which means anyone can attend, including family. 5 are marked closed, for people who want to stop drinking.
What is the difference between a group and a meeting?
4 groups listed in Waterford. A group is the set of people who run a meeting, and most run more than one a week.
Can family come to an AA meeting?
At an open meeting, yes. A closed one is a different matter. The difference is only that: open means anyone may attend, and closed means the room is for people with a drinking problem of their own. It is worth checking with the group if you are unsure which it is.
Is AA the same as rehab?
No. A.A. is a free fellowship that meets regularly and rehab is clinical treatment that costs money. Meetings have no doctors, no medication and no supervision, which is exactly why they cost nothing. Treatment is something you buy and a meeting is not, which is the whole of the difference in practical terms.
Should my first meeting be online?
Either is a legitimate way to start, and plenty of people use both. An online meeting removes the drive, the parking and the walking in, which for a first visit is most of what people are afraid of. If nothing nearby fits your hours, an online meeting is worth looking for.
