Questions about AA in Rio Rico

How many AA meetings are near Rio Rico?

27 within 10 miles, which is how far this page had to reach to show you a full week. 5 are in Rio Rico itself.

Which day is busiest for AA in Rio Rico?

Every day. Monday is the busiest with 7 meetings, and no day is empty.

Can I go to a meeting in Rio Rico if I am not sure I am an alcoholic?

25 are marked open here. An open meeting is the safe first choice if you are not sure, and they are labeled in the table above.

What is the difference between a group and a meeting?

One group, Grupo Recuperacion, and it is linked above with everything it runs.

What happens when the person drinking is not ready?

Less than people want to hear, and more than nothing. Going to an open A.A. meeting yourself is a common first step, and hearing members describe their own decision to stop is often the useful part. If it has reached the point of physical danger, a doctor is the right call rather than a meeting.

Is anyone allowed to go to an AA meeting?

No. The only requirement is a desire to stop drinking, and a desire is not the same as having managed it. There is no form, no referral and no minimum period of sobriety behind it, and you are a member at the point you say you are. The schedule gives the day, time and venue for every one.
